David McDonald was born and raised in Iowa and attended Iowa state university where he pursued a course in Animal science. After graduating, he landed a job with North American Meat Institute and later when he was the chairman, he joined OSI Group as a project manager. David McDonald’s era as the president of OSI is seen to focus more in expansion with his move to expand services to Asia by establishing 10 Chinese facilities that deal with poultry.
